The location of “Plantlust” is unique. The houses are situated on a private domain located between meadows. Plantlust stands for space, tranquillity and luxuriousness. You can spend the day “chilling” at “Plantlust” or use it as a home base for your day trips. In the evening, you will enjoy the silence and the dark landscape.

The centre of Oostkapelle is within easy walking distance (2 km). Apart from a large supermarket, a bakery and a good fishmonger, there are several restaurants and a number of charming shops. “Plantlust” is also close to the beautiful beach and the dunes of Oostkapelle (3.5 km). There are several routes to the beaches, every one even more beautiful than the other. For example, you can wander through beautiful nature areas, such as “Mantelinge” and “Oranjezon” to a nice, more quiet part of the beach.
The beaches of Walcheren are the best-rated beaches according to Dutch tourists (Zoover research, 2013). Those at Oostkapelle may be the most beautiful of all. Oostkapelle is a real family seaside resort with stunning wide beaches. The beach is the perfect place to relax, take a walk or go swimming in the sea. However, there are plenty of options for our more active guests, too: you can go horse riding (there is a riding stable near “Plantlust”), fly a kite, go for a bike ride, or go surfing or sailing, just to name a few things.
If you want a change from Oostkapelle, a day trip to Domburg, Veere, Zoutelande or Middelburg may be the thing for you. From Oostkapelle, it’s only a short trip to the old seaside resort Domburg (5.5 km). Here, too, you can choose from various scenic routes. Taking a trip to Zoutelande (5 km), Middelburg (12.5 km) or to the beautiful historical town of Veere (12 km) is certainly also possible.
You don’t need to go far for a fun outing. Walcheren is wonderful: an excellent protected area with picturesque villages, farms, fields, meadows and winding polder roads. You can take endless trips here, by foot, by bike or by car. Bicycles can be rented throughout the village at one of the bicycle shops or at the tourist office.
